About Us

Tarore was the young daughter of a Waikato chief, whose death in the 1800's led to a great awakening of the Maori people of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The Tarore Story project aims to continue to honour this young girl, her memory and the legacy of forgiveness and reconciliation amongst all people.

The Tarore Story project offers the Tarore Story book including the Gospel of Luke, written in both Te Reo Maori and English, as a free gift. Our desire is for the reader to find freedom in what is written in the book from burdens they may be carrying. The message in this book can bring peace now as it did in Tarore's time.

If you would like to receive your own personal copy of the Tarore Story we'll post it free of charge to you, simply click here and complete the form and we'll get one in the post.

If you, your local Marae, community, school or local church are interested in using or distributing the book please complete the form here and we will be in touch.
